SWIM ENGLAND

Swim England is the recognised national governing body for swimming in England. From beginners to elite athletes, and from teachers to coaches, Swim England supports everyone to achieve their best in the water. Their vision is “a nation swimming” — inspiring people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the water in a way that suits them.

SwimMark Accreditation

Brackley Swimming Club is proud to be SwimMark accredited, a quality mark awarded by Swim England. This accreditation recognises high standards in club governance, sustainability, and effectiveness.

Achieving SwimMark has helped us:
- Strengthen our club structure
- Improve our day-to-day management
- Build closer connections with other Swim England clubs

SwimMark also promotes a positive, safe, and supportive environment for swimmers. Accreditation is reviewed every two years, which helps ensure we continue to grow, evolve, and deliver the best possible experience for our members.

Swim England Membership Requirements

As a member of Brackley Swimming Club, all swimmers must hold Swim England membership. There are two levels:
- Club Train – for swimmers who train but don’t compete in licensed meets
- Club Compete – for swimmers who take part in licensed competitions

When you first register with Brackley Swimming Club the appropriate Swim England membership fee will be included in your initial fee. Our Swim England Membership Secretary will handle the registration on your behalf, and you’ll receive a confirmation email directly from Swim England once it's complete.
Swim England membership is renewed annually each January. The renewal process is managed by the club, and the cost is passed on to members.
